Oh dear I have found some good Mexican food. I am a book of a Mexican food snob and struggle with the quality of tacos and tortas in this city. This place does not disappoint. Tacos 10/10 Burrito 7/10 Torta 8.5/10 Perrote (hot dog with meat) 10/10 This is basically just good Mexican street food if I'm being honest. Next I have to try their boujee papa. Only thing I will say is it is definitely GREASY. Like it is what it is I still come back but there's grease dripping off most of the stuff you'll eat and if that doesn't sound like your cup of tea you may want to avoid this place. I would come here more often but I'd have to buy larger pants.

Yum! If papasotes pops up wherever you are, definitely give them a try. We usually hit them up at Belching Beaver in North Park. So good. My go-to is the carne asada quesadillas. Big portion. Lots of flavor. My friends usually go for the carne asada or adobada tacos. All good choices. Perfect to go with a beer or a seltzer.

Have only had the baked potatoes and tortas, but they're bomb. Really good portions too, so one potato or torra can easily be shared. Would suggest ordering ahead on their website if you're trying to do take out since parking in the area can be a bit of a pain.

Unfortunately, everyone ate their food as soon as the container was opened and no pics were taken. Our group had the bacon wrapped hot dog, asada burrito, soy rizo burrito, soyrizo taco, chicken taco and everyone was raving about the flavor. I didn't realize it's a stand in the back of a really cool little bar. We had family waiting on us or I would've got a beer and hung out there. I got one chicken and on soyrizo myself. I preferred the chicken taco. But, it was the first time I ever tried soyrizo. It wasn't bad but the chicken was super good. We had a vegan in our group that loved her soyrizo tacos. We would definitely come back.

Stopped by again for a delicious Carne Asada burrito and it was just as good as the first visit. I was going to try a burger but I talked with the owner Elias and he said they are currently NOT serving the burgers and are focusing more on the Bouje Potatoes, burritos and tacos. Can't wait to go back!

Absolutel gas. We got the baked potato, quesadilla, torta, and burrito, so the full spread! Super flavorful and pretty heavy, but in the best way. I got the chicken on my potato and my friend got the adobada. Both were awesome but I'd do the adobada next time. They were super friendly and it's right outside of belching beaver so you can grab the food and bring it inside while you snag a beer. I will definitely be back to try the adobada burrito!

Papasotes is a food stand right outside of Belching Beaver and it's incredible. We ordered chips and guac along with a carne asada hot dog, which was exactly what it sounds like. The chips and guac wasn't my favorite (it was too smooth/creamy), but the hot dog more than made up for it. The carne asada was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. The cheese perfectly melted and slightly crisped, adding another layer of flavor. Definitely get the dog!

I caught myself saying the name of this place over and over again, and name recognition is also a part of what makes a place memorable. The food is the other part, and this place was GOOD. The al pastor tacos were probably some of the best I had in my time in San Diego. I lost track of time and they were closing when I went to make a second order, and I wish I did. They took a little long to make the food considering we were the only ones there, but I'd say it was definitely worth the wait!
